Hello, I’m Tyler.

I grew up in the greater Seattle area, where creativity, independence, and innovation are not just valued; they are lived. Surrounded by a city known for its raw energy, bold ideas, and creative rebellion, I was drawn early to the intersection of art and problem-solving. That environment shaped how I move through the world. I am curious, resourceful, and driven to build meaningful systems that empower people to do their best work.

At 19, during my sophomore year of college in 2008, I became a parent. While continuing my education as a first-generation college student, I balanced the responsibilities of raising a child, exploring my cultural identity as a Hapa Korean American without a father, and navigating the end of a difficult marriage. That chapter of my life was one of deep transformation. It taught me resilience, clarity, and self-reliance. These qualities continue to shape how I lead, collaborate, and adapt.

In 2011, I earned a BA in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts with a minor in Architecture from the University of Washington in Seattle. My career began in Aerospace, where I supported cross-functional operations and product teams. At Boeing, I led initiatives in rate planning, product development, process improvement, and system integration. I built a strong foundation in managing within ambiguity, driving business growth, and fostering alignment across teams.

Today, I bring that foundation into the world of design operations. At Grand Image, an experiential art and design company, I lead cross-functional initiatives that support both creative and operational excellence. I work closely with design, marketing, production, and leadership teams to improve workflows, streamline systems, and ensure that artistic vision and business strategy are fully aligned.

My passion lies in building the systems and structures that help creative teams thrive. I believe design operations is where great ideas become scalable solutions. Whether I support UX research, guide process improvements, or connect teams around shared goals, I approach each challenge with empathy, structure, and a deep respect for the creative process.

Outside of work, I’m an outdoor enthusiast and a runner. I practice yoga regularly, embrace biohacking principles, and enjoy coaching soccer. I’m also a dedicated father and avid traveler, having explored 12 countries over 4 continents. These experiences continue to inspire my personal growth and broaden my perspective.
